Kickin Chicken International (KCI) is pleased to announce that the legal components of our franchising program have been completed.
The franchise disclosure document (FDD) is available for interested parties AFTER qualifying for a potential Kickin' Chicken franchise and completing the confidential request for information (CIRF).
Franchise brochures, DVD and web site changes are under development and will be available to prospective franchisees shortly. KCI ownership, management and the iFranchise Group have been completing the information materials.
DLA Piper, again selected as the # 1 franchise law firm in America, completed the FDD and legal work for KCI. "KCI is now prepared to go to the market place and "award" franchise opportunities to selected individuals/groups in the states of South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee", said Jim Verney, President and CEO.
The Kickin' Chicken founders: Chip Robert, Bobby Perry, David Miller and the KC management team have been instrumental in putting together operations, training, marketing, technology ad developmental tools for our franchie community.
Since our last communications with you KCI is pleased to announce the selection of Tobin, Dudley, Starr (Charlotte, North Carolina) as architects of record to develop the KC prototypical restaurant plans. Steve Starr has directed restaurant concept and architectural work for Panera Bread, Firebirds, Zoe's Kitchen and Cosi over the past few years.
In addition Gil Shuler Graphic Design (Mount Pleasant, South Carolina) has been retained to help with graphic opportunities within the KCI restaurant system.
Earlier, US Foodservice had been designated as the food service distribution arm for the company. "Our KC franchisees will enjoy the benefits and entrepreneurial spirit of the founders together with proven support professionals and management", remarked Verney.
The Kickin' Chicken has been in operation in Charleston since 1997 and has expanded to five restaurants in the greater Charleston, South Carolina area.
